Elaborate Model Pole, 1996

An elaborate model pole in yellow cedar depicts, from the top: Thunderbird, bear with killer whale, kulus with eagle, and a sisiyutl (double headed serpent) with a dzunuk'wa (wild woman). The pole is 8 feet tall, has 17 carved faces, and 180 pieces of inlaid abalone.
